4th North American Symposium on Chemical Reaction Engineering

Travel Grants for Graduate Students and Early Career Faculty

ISCRE Inc. is pleased to announce a competitive program to provide financial support for travel to NASCRE 4 to be held in Houston, TX, on March 10-13, 2019. The theme of the conference is “Making Boundaries Malleable: Advancing Reaction Engineering through New Materials, Unique Chemistries and Advanced Computation”.

The competitive travel grant program will provide a limited number of $600 grants to offset the cost of the 3-day hotel stay for deserving graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early career faculty who will present either an accepted oral presentation or poster at the conference. To be eligible, all applicants must be employed at a U.S. university. Early career faculty must be less than 7 years from their PhD as of Sept. 1, 2018.

Applicants should send a PDF that includes a 1 to 2-page CV (NSF format) and your NASCRE 4 abstract number to Prof. Linda Broadbelt (broadbelt@northwestern.edu).

Travel grants will be provided only to those who have registered for the meeting, so we urge those applying for the grant to register as soon as possible. In addition, the travel grant is used to offset the cost of a 3-day hotel stay in the conference hotel, The Westin Galleria Houston, so travel grants will only be provided to those who stay in this venue. We urge those applying for the grant to reserve a room prior to the cutoff date of February 9, 2019, and note that the travel award will be provided after the conclusion of the conference.

The due date for applications is January 22, 2019.
